Starting around 6:10 pm at each Lent meal we will need at least 9 volunteers to work. We will need 3 people at each ticket table, two taking money and one handing out plates. We will need at least 1 volunteer to serve the pizza. We will also have to dump trash and clean up the haul , take down the tables (unless we are told not to do so) after each meal. We will need to watch the caterer and have 2 volunteers on standby to make sure that the drinks and the meal is served in a timely manner and assist the caterer if needed for all meals. The meals will be served starting around 6:30 pm.



The caterer will also provide “To Go” plates for all meals and they will probably serve the meat portion at all of the meals.



As you can see, many things need to happen before these meals are served to make this a successful fundraising event. I will send out a weekly lent meal reminder as well.



Also remember that if you cannot assist with serving these Lent meals you can support your Council by purchasing meals for you and your family!

Diocesan Free Throw in Temple, Tx. @ the Holy Trinity High School - 0900 starts.....

4th Degree Renewal of Vows for Assembly 1091 and Assembly 2041 at St. Thomas Aquinas, Zurek Hall. Refreshments (beer) at 6:15 pm followed by the Renewal of Vows starting around 7:00 pm..... All Knights in Tux and Social Baldric with all officers in Full Regalia....

The Council Easter Egg Hunts will be Sunday April 8 after each of the masses. Easter Sunday masses will be 6:30 am, 8:30 am, 11:00 am. Brother Charlie Rae has offered to provide the Easter candy and to chair this event again this year.

We will hold a recruiting drive at St. Thomas Aquinas April 14 & 15. We will ask eligible men to join our council after each of the masses that Saturday and Sunday. We have a net gain of eight (8) new members so far this year. We need 17 new members to reach our Star Council goal of 17.

We have First Degrees scheduled for March 1 and April 18. We will hold a recruiting drive at St. Thomas Aquinas April 14 & 15. Friday, May 4, we will sponsor our first "Family Night @ the Movies" in Zurek Hall @ St. Thomas Aquinas. We will show the Movie "Courageous" starting @ 7 pm. This should be a fun event for the whole family. Our Council will serve free popcorn and soft drinks.
